I am trying to make a drop down menu on drop on a click not a hover. I'm sure this is pretty simple but I can't find an example of one anywhere. I want it because most of the time the website I am building will be viewed on a laptop and its sometimes hard to keep the scroll steady enough to select all the different levels. Thanks

You probably are going to have a hard time finding a drop down script that works with clicks instead of hovers... but drop downs aren't simple, they require a good amount of javascript to achieve.
If you want to pursue this, I'd recommend finding a traditional hover drop down script (l like chrome menu) and modifying it, or posting in the javascript forum if you need help modifying it.
Also is making it on a click completely necessary? How small of a laptop screen are you talking about making this work on? I've never had a problem with drop downs on laptop screens...

Don't know if you play habbo but I go on fansite forums often and there're some webmasters, I think this could help.

I guess if you find a good link within that thread, you could edit it to fit your needs :D

I don't think so but that's what the guy wants. I've already made the drop down I just wasn't sure about the clicking. I didn't realize I needed to use javascript to do this so I'll start looking there. I figured I was just being retarded and not thinking about something easy. Thanks for the reply.

http://css-tricks.com/links-inside-of-larger-clickable-areas/ <- I think this is going to help me, I'm going to bed right now so I can't try it out but just in case anyone's watching this thread this is what I'm trying next.

If you periodically need to make these menus, there is an off the shelf product that can create exceptional CLEAN menus in minutes.
I used to use open-source code in the past, but still decided to invest into this tool as it drastically saves time and produces great results:

P.S. I'm not advertising for this company, just very happy with their product ;)
