Ok,

What's the deal with these things? There seem to be a lot of very popular screen saver sites, and I just don't get it. You've got to wait around for 15+ minutes to download something that moves around your screen when you're away. I've been on my computer for 2 years now, and I've never stepped away from this thing long enough for it to even activate. (to answer your question in advance, yes, I'm on a 2 year old piece of crap http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/biggrin.gif).

Anyway, if someone could shed some light on the subject, I'd be much obliged!

I think screensavers were created for the same reason that people like to go skydiving...the reason? I have no idea. http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/biggrin.gif

Technical Note (so someone dosen't get all mad at me):

Screensavers were invented to prevent "screen burn"...for more try an internet search, (as if you should care).
