Has anyone upgraded to ICQ 2000a beta? http://www.icq.com/download
I'm still using 99b. Is the new one anymore effient (or cooler)?

I don't have 2000b yet. I'm quite bad about software updates, bute I know that the file is much smaller. (About 12MB smaller!)

I use ICQ2000a Really I dont see much difference, but then again the only feature i ever use is the messaging and sometimes the chat hehe.

It isn't all that different:
It offers PC-to-PC phone-calling
It allows you to send instant messages using MS Outlook
But it still eat up lots of RAM
I still think its worthwhile to upgrade

I had it for a while, but like whkoh says, "it's eats RAM". Had to get rid cos my little computer couldn't take it anymore. Also seem to remember it booting whenever I turned the computer on and trying to start an Internet connection.
