could you me suggest some websites such as linkedn, in which people can find and collaborate with other people on common projects.

While linkedin as a professional networking tool is good, it does not solve much purpose. Instead, take a look at eZdia (http://ezdia.com) - another networking tool. eZdia has the concept of knowledge bucket. eZdia allows knowledge to be shared and you can offer your expert help. Here you can share your projects with the experts and can work with them.

You can try to do the same with facebook groups or search for niche social networks in google :)
