FTP = File Transfer Protocol

It is used to transfer files from your computer to another. Or to transfer files from your computer to a webserver.

To use ftp you need an FTP client which can be found at http://www.download.com The one i use is ws_ftp

Then you have to setup a ftp address

Hostname ftp.yoursite.com or whatever your host specifies. along with a username and password to login.
