Indeoendant Layers

Just wondering if someone can help me with a small problem I have. I have a huge table (i.e many rows) and decided to place the table headings in a seperate layer so when someone scrolls down the page the can still see the heading. How can I make the layer containing the headings independant from the page itself. Iam i going about this the wrong way ?

sounds a little tricky. Placing the table headings on a separate layer is no problem, but to prevent that layer from scrolling will be the trick, to do that will require javascripting, which I'm not very experienced with myself, so I will transfer this thread to the client side forum and hopefully someone will be able to help you.

Couldn't you do something like that using frames?
One at the very top of the screen were the table headers would be and another frame below that with the table data.
I guess I am not sure exactly what you want to do but that seems like that would work for me.
