JS Pull-Down menu Questions

How do you position a JS Pull-down menu? I have a table I would like to put it into, but it doesn't seem to want to work there. When I put it in a Cell, it shows the whole menu, instead of just the text that you "mouseover". Is this a possiblity? Also, can I change the graphic properties of the menu? Can I add a background image? I can't seem to find a site that covers this. Thanks in advance.

Could you please post the code for the menu that you've found, and also the code you're trying to get to work.
