fonts effects

Can somebody tell me which software gives me those impressive fonts effects such as:

1.embossed letters (words appear to be pushed out from behind the page)
2.imprinted letters (words appear to be
carved into the surface )?

Photoshop handles these effects very well, although you may need certain plugins and filters for the software package to get them. Painy Shop Pro can also make these effects, but in my opinion, not as nicely.

You might want to try using filters. They can be used without much scripting work and they can achive many great effects. Best of all, it's all text, so you have less load time. See http://www.siteexperts.com/constsets/filter/page1.asp for more info.

Ivonnieda is right you will save alot of time on loading, but if you really need software that will make those really fancy 3D letters... and even make them move, spin, rotate, etc... then try http://www.fontfx.com

This is probably one of the best for this... but like I said load speed is a big issue... but if that's not a concern then check out their site...
