Hi,

"The administrator of a class B IP network wishes to divide the network to create subnets with up to 240 hosts on each subnet. Suggest a suitable net/host address boundary and specify the appropriate subnet mask that would achieve this goal"

I reckon it will be a 255.255.0.0 subnet but it seems that it wants me to be more specific with the 240 hosts. Any ideas?

your going to need to work it out. as a standard Class B addresses have a default subnet mask of 255.255.0.0, however this will change if you look at a single network within a address range.

how many subnets do you need?
