Hello all,

I'm looking at purchasing a 3rd party ecommerce package for my new site but am not sure which one to get.

So far I've looked at a bunch and I kinda like:
-ClickCartPro
-Miva Merchant - although it's kinda expensive
-iisCart
-Multiactive Builder Pro6

Here's what I want:

-Want to host the site with my service provider
-Inventory Tracking
-Unlimited product catalogue
-Secure transactions
-Ability to do realtime credit card transactions - maybe not right away but in the future
-Shipping settings with tracking functionality
-Ability to create own site design (I'm a designer... and god help me if I use some lame 3rd party template)
-the cheaper the better. I'm looking between $100-$400

There's other stuff that I can't think of right now... but I think I got the core essentials.

The problem I'm having is that I'm totally overwhelmed with the selection out there and have no idea where to start focusing my research.

Any help/support/recommendations would be great.

thanks

Even thought Miva merchant is costly when compared to the others its the best.Try the online domo of Miva merchant at their website before you buy it.Also make sure if your service provider supports the software your going to use.
If you dont have any experience in buiding in ecommerce website then you might want to try www.bigstep.com .Youwould have to host your site at Bigstep and you dont need to get any software. You can build your store online and its real easy.

I've set up the Miva now trial and so far so good. It's a powerful storefront but is really lacking in look customization.

I'll keep playing with it

Good, its always better to go in for the trail and then buy it.Miva is pretty good when it comes to
customization.Try this tutorial website for Miva http://www.mivahelp.com. It might help you.

You might want to take a look at http://www.1automationwiz.com before you spend your money on several different packages. It's a lot to juggle!

Instead, 1AutomationWiz.Com gives you everything that you've said you're looking for, but it does it ALL from one easy to use control panel ;)

The cost is less then Miva and you'll get tons more tools at no extra charge.

Plus you can get a free 30 day no obligation trial of the system too!

All the best,
