Hello, I want to thank you all in advanced!

I've been a user of Dreamweaver cs3 and I'm now making the switch to design my pages with Fireworks cs3. I've read the tutorials and found it much easier to design a layout with fireworks cs3!

How do I create meta tags for each page or where do you do this?

I realized you can't just highlight text like you would normal on a .html page. So I'm confused on how search engine spiders would be able to scan the text on a page to list your link in the search engine results?

Thank you!

I think you're misunderstanding what Fireworks does - it's not a replacement for Dreamweaver, in that it cannot build an entire site; rather it designs all the graphical aspects of the site and its layout.

Once you've set up the layout and images, you need to add the actual text of the page, and things like metatags. Dreamweaver will do this, as will many other HTML editors.

I havnt used fireworks but surely you can add codes [ title/meta tags ] within the content of your webpage as you do in other WYSIWYG editors, there should be some way for getting it done, or you can just add tag in code section manually ;)

Fireworks isn't a WYSIWYG editor; it's a graphics editor. It does have some Webby functions because its primary purpose to make graphics for websites, but it's not actually a website editor.
