Directory Contents To DB

Is there anyway i can get a list of the contents from a file folder on my machine into a (sql server 2000) db without hand-entering them one-at-a-time? I have a folder with a crapload of image files and I want to enter a reference to each file into a db.

what language are you working in? I could give you some VB.net code to get you started, but not sure if this would be useful to you.
