Hello!

I have a couple questions and am hoping to get some feedback.

Essentially, the heart of my question is this... How much traffic must your site (or Network) receive to graduate from the ranks of insignificant, to being a legitimate player? Additionally, how does this relate to revenue and profit? For instance, if I am getting "X" number of page views, what would be a realistic goal to set for monthly revenue?

I would rather not release statistics over the BBS, but if anyone would be willing to give feedback on this, I have no problem disclosing numbers.

I am on ICQ at 72582949 :)

Thanks!
Scott

Hey Scott,

Success is not a measure of traffic alone. There is no true formula for number of hits + reveune = success. However, to get a feel for how you are doing, ask yourself:

1. Am I making enough profit from this, to not have to do anything else?

2. Are my visitors happy?

3. Am I providing a unique, or helpful service?

However, you are obviously not going to be competiting with C|Net until you have a very large profit margin, and employ many. If you want to know if you have the respect of other companies, then the only way to find this out is to contact them, and see if they are interested in your partnership or in bartering with you. Nobody starts out as a giant without a budget.
