Tripod Perl ????

I need Password Protection on my site. I found a program thats written in PERL .htpasswd that I would like to use. Currently I'm using TRIPOD as my server. Tripod does allow CGI Scripts, but I'm not sure how use it. If thier is a anyone out there who can help me with this please reply.
