Yeah, How can you tell whether or not your site is a success or a flop?. How many visits per day is consider successful? Is around 1000-2000 enough? Or is that consider average?

Hi Zeek,
There are several criteria on how you can tell if your website is successful. 1000-2000 hits a day is pretty good, however you have to determine the source of the traffic. I know of some clipart sites, mp3 sites, and desktop sites that gain high traffic quickly by reaching high numbers on "topsites". However they often confuse their visitors, and offer no real value.
This may vary from person to person, but this my own idea of "Signs of Success":

You are making a reasonable profit.

Your visitors remember, and return to your page.

You have more positive feedback than negative.

You listen to your visitor's negative feedback for improvement.

Your site offers something unique or useful.

If you meet this criteria, then you're doing ok on the web.
