Hi,
I think your site is quite well done and clear, although I would suggest you change your side panels from black to different color, also I think your right side table is to wide but I think that is due to the Listbot button beside the form where you enter your email address, if you put the button underneath that, I think it will fix it.

And on a personal note, I don't see A1 JavaScripts listed in your javascript category. http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/smile.gif hehe

Still, thats just my opinion and I think you have done a good job, if you make any changes and want a second opinion, let us know. good luck.

It looks like you are off to a good start in your site.

One thing that I'd change right away is the width og the right column, I'd make it thinner, and make the one in the middle thicker.

You can put a <BR> tag before the listbot button (after the text box). This will give you the room to shrink that column down a bit.

You might also want to mice your logo to the top of the page, and put the links that are currently at the top around your logo, check out how yahoo handles their logo. Witht he material you have at the top of the screen, you could arrange something similar, it would be quite eye pleasing. Good luck.

Thanks, that helps, didn't know I could put listbolt button under it, will do that, I would like to get the logo up on the top but might have to scroll sideways? What would be a good color to change sides to, I need a color that will show links up well on each side, was thinking of using a background for there, but trying to keep my load time fast. Will add the other script place always looking for new freebie places

Hi,
It was sitting inside table colomns that was preventing it from moving. I have extracted the code and re-wrote it for you and placed it inside table rows instead. If you want any alterations to it, post them if you can't make the changes yourself and I'll be happy to look at it for you. Replace your current code with this:

<!-- Begin ListBot Code -->
<form method="post" action="http://www.listbot.com/cgi-bin/subscriber">

<center><table BORDER=0 CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 COLS=1 WIDTH="150" >
<tr>
<td ALIGN=CENTER><font face="Arial,Helvetica"><font color="#FF0000"><font size=-1>Join
FreeFinders weekly mailing list. Enter your email address below, then click the 'Join List' button:</font></font></font></td>
</tr>

<tr>
<td ALIGN=CENTER><input type=text name="e_mail"><input type=hidden name="list_id" value="FreeFinders"><input type=hidden name="Act" value="subscribe_list"></td>
</tr>

<tr>
<td ALIGN=CENTER><input type=image src="http://www.listbot.com/subscribe_button.gif" border=0 width=88 height=31 alt="Click here to join our mailing list!"></td>
</tr>

<tr>
<td ALIGN=CENTER><font face="arial"><font size=-2><a href="http://www.listbot.com/" target="_top">Powered
by ListBot</a></font></font></td>
</tr>
</table></center>

</form>
<!-- End ListBot Code -->

good luck.

Thanks so much, it worked, I had to take one of the search engines of the page, it was messing other stuff up. I can't do the top like yahoo, casue the icon would have to be tiny and I kind of like my little pic's and they look bad when you make them smaller, but got rid of one line. I am trying to decide on a color beside black, for the sides. I added A1 java scripts to the jave page. Thanks so much for all your help. Now if you could just tell me how to get more traffic, only getting about 60 a day.

wheww,
what a battle it is getting to be trying to post here at the moment.....
Thanks for adding A1 to your javascript category, it is much appreciated.

I would start a new topic in this forum about how to get more traffic, you will get more readers and answers that way. I will also write a few words there if you post one. http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/smile.gif
Thanks again.

I would suggest changing the "freefind.htm file to "index.htm" just so you can shorten your URL just a little. ie:"http://netjunk.com/users/freefinders" instead of "http://netjunk.com/users/freefinders/freefind.htm" http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/smile.gif

Good point rucus, I donlt know how we missed that one.

It's always best to use the shortest URL possible, so your visitors won't have any trouble remembering your site.

For some of the longer urls that you get on certain free hosts, you might even want to consider a redirect script.

If you don't like the advertising that is forced with one of those scripts, a "bookmark me" link will help your visitors find your site again, for those that found value in your services.
http://www.a1javascripts.com happens tohave such a script http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/smile.gif We actually use something like this on some of our own sites.

Yes was gonna add a book mark me script, though about getting a short url, or a shorter name. My link is out so many places though, so thought I shouldn't. I redid my site again lol, changed the background and added a image map. I am worried it is loading to slow now. I have used the .gif cruchers to make my gif file size smaller. They keep showing up as same size, they don't appear to work? Not sure what I am doing wrong. Any ideas where I should be a please bookmark this site? Up in the opening paragraph? Thanks for all you help. It really is helping me.

Hi Setarra,

I'm glad that we're of some use to you http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/biggrin.gif

Things are looking pretty spiffy over there, good work! I'd put that bookmark script up in a very visible spot, so it's one of the first things that people see, possibly centered above the top paragraph.

Also, don't worry about changing your URL, we've done it plenty of times http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/smile.gif

The original URL of A1Javascripts.com was located on a free web host, and more recently we switched perlsite to perlaccess.com. All you need to do is put up a page that says that you moved, and link to the new url. Your visitors will follow it. If you want to be even more abbrasive with it, you could just put up a redirect script on the old page, to automatically forward your visitors to the new earl.

thanks, I am really thinking of getting a short url before I resubmit to search engines. Fixing a few things before I resubmit and book mark script is one I hope to do today, working on a trade link form today also.

To get a shorter URL or to set up an account cheaply try www.ezpublishing.com (http://www.ezpublishing.com) they have been nothing but great to me. They can forward url's for you or even give you 50megs for 8.50 a month. check them out.
