Some style definitions were interfering with the function of the button/checkbox (god only knows how...)

Hello I am trying to make a submit button disabled until a checkbox is clicked, but this has become amazingly difficult!!! i have no idea what im doing wrong..
I have been able to get the checkbox to enable/disable to button, then go on to the confirmation page when button is clicked **but it doesnt check the signup info (for data in the input fields) **
