How long does it take for a forum to get established

Just out of curiosity

by established I mean not necessarily have thousands of members but a core group of say 30 or more who consistently post every day or so

does it take 6 months? a year? from experience

would be interesting to know

It all depends on the members posting. If they're willing to post, it can take as little as 6 months, but it may take years, too.
