Okay, so I've read a few posts that say "What is Web 2.0", looked at the wiki pages, Google'd etc... all that information is great!

But how's about we compile a nice Web 2.0 Checklist for users who wish to create Web 2.0 but not have to go through reading pages and pages. Something simple!

I'll just add a few thoughts:

- Design/Creativity - using gradients, juss awesome looking websites really etc.
- Participation - get your users involve: blogs, wikis, uploading, logins etc.

what kind of things in the checklist?

are we just talking about the larger features which would be considered web 2.0 (like a wiki) or the details of implementing that larger feature (locking to prevent simultaneous edits, change tracking and reversion capabilities, inter-linking articles)?

Use AJAX to add responsiveness to your site:

http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/default.asp

I have not found a more lucid tutorial.

Caveat to the use of Ajax:
Ensure that Ajax functionality does not mean that content is not accessible by traditional means.

Okay... I've decided on something here.

With all the CMS upgrades I've been making to my sites I've decided to start heading into Web 2.0 before Clients ask me about it... I'm going to start looking at all the points in this forum and apply them to websites... I'll try and show you guys examples and my highs & lows of this little mini project.

There are 3 websites currently online for myCMS (the lil system i've created that governs websites... like joolma but in coldfusion and alot more to the point)

I have 2 more that need to be developed in the next couple of months... so I hope all goes well.

My attempt to convert the code to php is long and strenuous, but I'll get there one day... 1 line of code in Coldfusion = 20 in PHP :(
