shopping cart setup script

Hi
I need some advice on how to set up a simple shopping cart to capture customer information like name, address and other customizable details as well as an ability to add on products to the shopping cart and then checkout using an offline payment method
that I can place on each product I sell on my website. I am a moron when it comes to scripts so, can anyone give me a step-by-step guide and script, simpleton style to a design idiot?
