Hey Guys, after a year now i have been able to learn the basics of html, css and javascript. but now im not sure what to go for next, my ambition in life is to become a web developer and game programmer. now im not sure what to go for next and i have come up with a few options, i was wondering if anyone could help me choose.

PHP - For Web Developer
2D Animation - To Start Off Easy In Animation, Maybe For 2D Game
3D Animation - For Game Programming
3D Modelling - For Game Programming And Animation.

I was thinking that i could learn php then go onto game programming, but i've heard php is hard to learn and they say javascript was easy which i found was difficult, any opinion is welcome thanks.

My opinion for you is give learn PHP (server-side) first, then Javascript (client-side), as a web application normally consists of 70-80% of servers-side code, while the remaining is client-side code.

About whether you should go for web development or games development, I think this should be your own choice and interest. Any path should be as fun.

Happy Learning!:)

PHP is the easiest programming language you are likely to come across, perhaps with the exception of basic, which is practically useless anyway. I would say, give it a try- once I started learning it wasn't that tough.

i think that web development may not seem as exciting as games development (although, this entirely depends on exactly how you get your kicks, and I personally enjoy getting a nice JS/DOM/AJAX widget working as much as anything), but I'm pretty sure that web development is a lot less stressful than games development (when I look at some buddies in that line of work).
