ICQ, (AOL's other messaging system), seems to be suffering from a similar vulnerability as AOL IM (AOL's standard messaging system). The problem is a Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability. The problem leaves a chance for a remote user to execute code on your system if you click on a link they send you, meaning they could spread viruses to your machine, or do whatever else they like.

ICQ is suggesting an immediate upgrade to fix this problem:

Ive been running this ICQ virus scanner for some time,

AVX for ICQ is an antivirus special designed for ICQ. It is able to intercept, filter and virus scan all files sent during an ICQ chat session. Based on a new proprietary technology, AVX for ICQ incorporates features found on enterprise-class corporate firewalls.
