firefox 2 ignores dynamic colgroup

Is there any way to fight this? I create colgroup dynamically and add it to existing table, but is is ignored.

well, it is resolved (sortof), for this case Firefox also ignored static colgroup, so it wasn't JS problem... I rewrote portion of my CSS that created a certain effect to get rid of table rendering bugs.
