If you have purchased an express business submission with Yahoo! on or after Dec. 28, than you will need to pay the fee every year to remain listed! Egads!

Read about it here:
http://docs.yahoo.com/info/suggest/terms.html#2.4

This is a major change! Expect trends of continued search engine difficulties in the market as others follow in Yahoo's wake!

I submitted my Saints Fansite (http://www.iydot.com/stkildanet/) to Yahoo Australia (http://au.yahoo.com) (for free) just the other day and got a acceptance message yesterday. Yahoo Australia still have free submission and they only take a few days (plus you get an acceptance or denial email). I also think that the Yahoo Australia results show up in the normal (worldwide) Yahoo too. Although I don't think any non-Aussies would be interested in my site.

Wonder why Aussie submission is still free, whilst Yahoo US makes people pay per year now?

BTW: Jason, is your site/s listed in Yahoo? If so do you have to pay per year now?

Cya...

Hi Oz,

The majority of the BR sites are listed in Yahoo, however since the ones that I used business express for were listed before Dec. 28, they are not subject the annual fee (not yet anyway, until Yahoo decides to change things again). I also think that Yahoo still takes some sites that aren't business related for free, if they are very rich in content.
