Staying logged in?

Why am I having so much trouble staying logged in here?

All the right boxes are checked in my user cp and I have cookies allowed for this site selected, but every time I follow a email link or even open this site up from my favorites I have to log in and if I reply to a post while logged in I have to re-log in before my post is accepted.

This is getting pretty frustrating and am wondering if anyone else has the same problem?

Do you normally come here with or without www. in front and does the email links differ? That could be the problem.

Imagine that -- I just had to log in your reply to this link -->

http://www.htmlforums.com/showthread...8&goto=newpost

In my favorites the link that is bookmarked is --> http://htmlforums.com/

It shows me being logged out as well and I do check the remember me box every time but it doesn't remember me.

This could explain why there is 999 visitors at times with only 2 regular members logged in if folks aren't remembered.

Funny thing is I followed the email link this time Horus and it logged me in.

Had to log in again.

I think I see the problem in your link -- where the two ladies are checking circuits to their left is a circular loop in the wiring.

That's a good one

For me, I don't have the problem to re-login. Maybe I use www.

Thanks Steve ---

Yes, I had to log in again by following an email link.

I get this log in screen as well as the smaller one above it.

I have been having the same trouble that KWJ is having. I come to this site, log in, browse around and have to re-login at least once more in order to post.

Try deleting all your cookies then change your bookmarks to have www.htmlforums.com. Then log back in under that URL and see if that works.

I deleted my bookmark and tried the new bookmark with the triple "w" a couple of days ago and so far I have been staying logged in --- even when I follow an email link from a replied to post which I wasn't able to do before.

My fingers are crossed.
