Yes... You are right... You can make money online with
1. Affiliate programs
2. adsense
and so on.....

There are a lot of ways to make money online - being smart with how you go about it and researching your competition whether it be that you decide you are going to join an affiliate network or a make money website you have to know your topic inside and out.

We need to agree on something. Making money on the internet is not a get rich overnight scheme. If it were that easy everyone would be doing it.
There are many ways to make it online, among which following technique are use frequently
1) Blog: start a blog and consistently write excellent content.With good ad placement, you make some money.
2) Click bank: Quickly becoming my favorite affiliate program,they have thousands of things for you to advertise on your site.
3) Google Ad sense : Come on, you don't need an explanation, these ads are all over the place Google displays relevant ads based on your site's content

Well, I think this thread is probably being controlled by just one or two folks that are trying to build up their post counts and post premature sig links, but it does bring up an interesting point that there are a lot of people that just get into building websites to earn money. However, I believe if you are a one man show and just want to make money with a website, and do not care much else about what you are doing, then you will never succeed in the long term, and need to maintain a genuine interest in what you are doing. For this purpose, blogging about your interests are actually not a bad idea, and there are ways to monetize your blog, with or without adsense. A few good resources include the "pay for review" sites such as:

http://www.payperpost.com
http://www.sponsoredreviews.com
Then, you can also put your ad space in a marketplace for advertisers to buy through a third party. Some of these include:
http://www.textlinks.com
http://www.buysellads.com
http://www.adbrite.com
and most recently, there is a marketplace for adsales with the openx hosted banner service ( http://www.openx.com)

To this day I can say I made money online from at least 20 methods.
I tried and succeeded in everything: paid per post, pay per click, pay to click, affiliate marketing, pay per install and so on.
The key is consistency. It is very likely that you won't succeed at this right from the start. It requires a lot of patience and perseverance.
If you own a blog there are those pay per post sites that Jason mentioned. But in order to make money from those you need to have a blog with a small alexa and a very high page rank.
I had a page rank 4 humor blog that got lots of visitors and I barely made 100$ (or something like that from 2 reviews in reviewme).
I am not only making money online but I am also teaching other people how to make money online. I have seen a lot of cases and let me tell you. Online money making might seem fascinating but if you don't fit the description I gave some paragraphs ago, then this is not for you. Just sick a real job and physically work for money like everyone else is.  |

At first you must learn about Adsense. That's an easy way to start. On the next time you can make a blog and get revenue from them by paid post, selling text or advertising. That's a good enough to make money. Just remember you must concern about one project. Don't do some project at the same time.

Joining affiliate programs are surely one of the ways on how you can earn money online. Clickbank and amazon affiliate program are the best affiliate program for me..
